Graduates can take advantage of two year, full time, graduate placements across all areas of VisitScotland. They offer the chance to put everything you learned at university into practice in a real working environment.
We'll offer you invaluable work experience in your chosen career field to set you up for future success, either with us or elsewhere.
We also offer year-round training that's designed to help boost confidence and employability.
These placements are open to those with an undergraduate degree or above, or an international equivalent.
The application process begins in July each year and successful applicants start in September.
Modern apprenticeships are paid year-long placements. During the placement, you'll undertake a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in various topics. Think of IT, customer service, business administration, marketing, etc.
At the end of the first year (and on successful completion of the SVQ), you'll go on to a fulltime one-year contract in the organisation. This will be for a similar role as you gained an SVQ for.
The second year will also have extra training that's designed to help boost confidence and employability.
Modern apprenticeships are open to students of 25 years old or younger. The application process begins in June each year, with successful applicants starting in August.
We offer a number of internship opportunities. These are aimed at UK and international students that are studying relevant degrees at either university or college.
These internships are arranged through participating Universities and Education Authorities. They last for up to three months at a time.
This programme is available to students entering their fourth year of secondary school. Career Academy is a structured development programme, run with a number of some local education authorities.
Mentors from across the organisation offer support to students for two years. This also includes a four-week paid work experience placement with us at VisitScotland.

Diverse placements
Each year, we offer positions across different departments at VisitScotland.

We're incredibly proud to have this award in our trophy cabinet as it signals a culture with young people at the heart of its results. Providing a benchmark for other organisations to meet.
