A news release from Welcome to Fife has launched a new promotional film promoting the  sights of Kirkcaldy through its famous son, Scottish economist and philosopher, Adam Smith.

The film “Adam Smith and Kirkcaldy: A Wealth of Inspiration” follows in the foot steps of Adam Smith through the town to experience the allure of Kirkcaldy as a must-visit tourism destination.

Created by local company Midgiebite Media, the short film highlights the town's unique appeal. It transports viewers on a virtual exploration of Kirkcaldy's picturesque landscapes, vibrant culture, and charming streets. From breath-taking views of the Firth of Forth to the bustling Merchants Quarter, the film beautifully captures the essence of Kirkcaldy's charms.

One of the key highlights of the film is the prominent presence of Adam Smith, a renowned philosopher and economist who was born in Kirkcaldy and lived there most of his life. Celebrated as the father of modern economics, Smith's intellectual legacy continues to resonate across the globe. He published a range of notable works, including the hugely influential "Wealth of Nations."

The film pays homage to these significant contributions and positions Kirkcaldy as a place where visitors can immerse themselves in Adam Smith’s remarkable story.
