Tell us about new or exciting products

Do you know of new and exciting products opening in 2025? Tell us!

Our Global PR team produces and distributes regular communication to our database of key press contacts in the UK, France, Germany, US, Canada, China, Australia, and Middle East.

A key element of our activity is our “What’s new 2025” release, which our contacts look out for each autumn and use to plan their travel editorial calendars for the year ahead.

The what’s new release is an ideal opportunity for us to keep Scotland on the media’s radar and inspire them to engage with the destination.

We are constantly in competition with every other destination worldwide for travel feature coverage (no pressure!) so providing journalists with a plethora of newsy stories is a crucial element of our activity. Insight from across Scotland is essential to make this news release the best it can be.

What are we looking for?

We always want to highlight products spanning across as many different regions as possible. We’re keen for anything sustainable, innovative, quirky and unique, luxurious, foodie, or simply exciting.

Since the distribution of the what’s new 2024 release in November 2023 – March 2024, over 300 articles have been published citing what’s new product, such as W Hotel Edinburgh, Port of Leith Distillery, and Perth Museum.

If you have something to shout about for 2025 – new openings, tours, people, experiences, or trends – please send these stories to travelpr@visitscotland.com for us to consider for potential inclusion.
