Fife’s tourism landscape is entering an exciting new chapter with Welcome to Fife’s launch of the Love Fife Visitor Information Points. Designed to meet the changing needs of modern travellers, the new information hubs will provide visitors with tailored, quality guidance to explore Fife’s unique attractions, cultural landmarks, and natural beauty.

The Love Fife Visitor Information Points will offer a warm, personal touch by partnering with local organisations, businesses, community hubs, and attractions. With their focus on delivering local knowledge, these points will encourage visitors to uncover hidden gems and immerse themselves in authentic Fife experiences.

Key features of the Visitor Information Points include:

  • easily accessible locations: strategically placed in high-traffic areas across Fife to ensure visitors can effortlessly access valuable information
  • interactive digital guides: using the Welcome to Fife website and apps to provide instant, up-to-date details on events, activities, and local services
  • leaflets and guides: over the last two years Welcome to Fife have worked with local tourism associations and other industry led groups to create collateral to share with visitors
  • community engagement: staffed or supported by local experts passionate about sharing the best of Fife.
  • eco-friendly practices: a commitment to sustainability, promoting green travel options and eco-conscious tourism

Where are the Information Points located?

From Tuesday 6 February Love Fife Visitor Information Points will be available at:

  • St Andrews University
  • Student Union
  • St Mary’s Place
  • Kirkcaldy Galleries

Information Points are also planned for The R&A World Golf Museum in St Andrews and Crail Museum shortly after.

Further points will then be rolled out across key destinations in the coming months working with OnFife Libraries, Galleries and Museums and other partners and businesses across Fife.

The transition reflects the growing demand for tourism services that go beyond traditional models, offering flexible, modern solutions that cater to independent and tech-savvy travellers.

The way people plan their holidays and access information has changed, and we're focusing on investing in those digital channels where we can deliver best value as VisitScotland. This opens the opportunity for bespoke local initiatives such as the Love Fife Visitor Information Points which will be a welcome addition to the region’s tourism offering and will work well with our own marketing activity.
