Q: What's the best place to find out more about this event?
A: The best place for all current and future information on Tall Ships Aberdeen is the Tall Ships Aberdeen website. On the website you'll find event details such as the confirmed ships, what's on, sponsorship opportunities, the official shop and much more - so we recommend regularly checking. If you'd like to get in touch, please do so through the Contact Us section of the website.
Q: Will there be an opportunity to hold an open studios to showcase the talented creatives of Aberdeen? Would we be able to connect this officially to Tall Ships somehow?
A: We’d be happy to hear from any business or organisation on anything special they are running during the Tall Ships Races. We will promote relevant promotions and events on the official website and potentially on social media. If you can theme your event or promotion to tie in with Tall Ships this would be ideal. Details can be submitted via our online form which you can find at aberdeeninspired.com
Q: Can I apply to be a street food trader or supply the bars at the Tall Ships event site?
A: Unfortunately, the process for traders closed last year and arrangements for the bars are already in place. We have now finalised the requirements for the event.
We would encourage you to consider the Curated on the Quayside market, which will allow off sales. https://www.charliehouse.org.uk/events/curated-on-the-quayside
Q: When will traders/charities get confirmation of holding a stall?
A: Applications close on Friday 28 March at 5pm, with successful applicants notified the week of 21 April 2025.
Q: Are there any plans to engage with landlords of empty retail units on Union street to either cover up or facilitate short term lets for pop-up shops?
A: The Tall Ships project team have been engaging with Our Union Street to explore opportunities around unoccupied units.
Q: Is there any sight of a transport strategy for the event?
A: The traffic management plan will be available in the coming weeks. This will be available on the Tall Ships website.
