A press release from Taste Perthshire has announced the launch of its new Christmas shop. This is a significant new expansion to the family run retail and restaurant business which includes a new alfresco dining area and children’s playpark.

Located just off the A9 at Bankfoot, the popular visitor destination now boasts an external farmhouse canopy housing a new outdoor garden area, children’s playpark, and an outdoor pizza oven.

This offers visitors the chance to enjoy freshly made pizzas alfresco on new tables and benches in the outdoor space or enjoy their meal within six new colourful dining huts.

Taste Perthshire’s new Christmas shop offers a wide range of festive gifts for all the family, plus decorations for the house and garden, and also offers an exclusive gift-wrapping service. The restaurant is now serving a festive afternoon tea, coupled with a full festive menu including the traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas pudding.

The new outdoors area will also showcase a range of the plants and garden furniture available to purchase at Taste Perthshire or via their website.

This new extension is the second significant development for the business over the last eighteen months, which saw a 24-hour fuel station and EV charge hub open in June 2022.

The popular visitor attraction also introduced a takeaway and deli service to meet the demand of visitors, encouraged by the number of motorists stopping to refuel.

These additions supplement the already very well-regarded indoor dining restaurant, and the unique shopping experience Taste Perthshire offers. As the name suggests, Taste Perthshire’s ethos is to serve and sell local produce as much as is possible. The new outdoors area will provide 60 extra seats, in addition to that already available in the all-day family restaurant.

A hit with visitors...

Taste Perthshire is also home to a family of Highland cows, including two calves, which are proving to be a big draw for both locals and the many tourists from around the world who stop at Taste Perthshire on their way to their Scottish holiday destinations. Visitors can feed the cows by purchasing feed from the gift shop.
