Scotland is famous for its food and drink offering – and Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray Speyside are serving up some exciting events to celebrate local provenance and support the local industry.

Read on to find out more about Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week, Moray Speyside Restaurant Week and Provenance Festival.

Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week

For the first time, Aberdeenshire will host its own Restaurant Week, taking place from 4 – 10 November 2024. Aberdeenshire Council’s Economic Development Service is serving up the week-long promotion and inviting hotels, restaurants, cafes and more to sign-up for the event to offer a range of special offers.

Food festivals have proven to be popular in neighbouring regions, for businesses and customers alike, and November’s event will work to spotlight all the fantastic places to eat and drink across Aberdeenshire.

There are multiple ways that taking part in Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week can help your business, and can increase sales, attract a new customer base and enhance your marketing activity and brand reputation.

Restaurant Week is traditionally an opportunity for people to try new restaurants, or try places they haven’t been before at a reduced price.

If you’re interested in taking part, find out more and register your business on Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week’s website.

Provenance Festival 2024

Provenance Festival is back for 2024, with VisitAberdeenshire welcoming north-east food and drink producers and businesses to become a key part of this year’s calendar of events.

This year’s festival will take place from Saturday 21 September to Sunday 29 September. In 2023, more than 50 businesses opened their doors to provide one-off, interactive behind-the-scenes experiences for visitors, with more than 100 events delivered during the ten day festival.

Launched in 2021 by Opportunity North East (ONE) to grow food tourism in the region, Provenance Festival is now delivered by VisitAberdeenshire and ONE, supporting the key food and drink and tourism sectors and economic diversification across the north-east.

Visitors to this year’s festival will meet the people behind the brands and hear fascinating stories of the region’s pioneering food and drink businesses.
