"Paddington Visits" trail

Statues of marmalade loving bear, Paddington, have appeared across Scotland.

Edinburgh, John O’Groats and Lanark are among 23 locations across the UK and Ireland that are taking part in the Paddington Visits trail.

Launched by STUDIOCANAL, in partnership with Ordnance Survey, visitors can take pictures with the meticulously crafted and painted statue, which sports his signature red hat, blue duffle coat, and, naturally, a marmalade sandwich in paw.

The trail has been created to celebrate the forthcoming release of Paddington In Peru, which arrives in cinemas on 8 November.

The statues are located in:

  • St Andrew Square Garden, Edinburgh
  • John O’ Groats Sign Post, John O’ Groats
  • High St, Lanark

The addition of the Paddington Bear Bench to John O’Groats is not only going to enhance our World Famous Landmark's charm but also provide a lovely spot for visitors to relax and take photos.

More on Paddington

For 65-years, British writer Michael Bond has delighted readers all over the world with his stories about Paddington, the bear from Peru, famous for his love of marmalade.

Paddington was adapted for the big screen in 2014. Paddington In Peru is the third in the film series and sees the bear return to the Peruvian jungle to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, now a resident at the Home for Retired Bears.
