Scottish Careers Week is back

Scottish Careers Week returns for 2024, taking place this year from 11 - 15 November. 

Co-ordinated by Skills Development Scotland, the campaign will shine a spotlight on the support that's available to people of all ages across Scotland.

It aims to celebrate the power of career support, showcase exciting industries and opportunities, including green careers, and help shape a brighter future for everyone. 

Set against a backdrop of the ever-changing world of work, new technology, the climate emergency, and the need to develop the right skills, the campaign is more important than ever.

Skills Development Scotland is calling on employers and education providers to get involved and help people understand the opportunities and support available to them.

Toolkit available

There are lots of ways to get involved and the campaign is available to any organisation with an interest in supporting career choices.

You could celebrate career support in your industry, showcase your own staff and their careers or highlight the opportunities available in your sector and the pathways to different careers.

As well as free resources to help promote the campaign, Skills Development Scotland has also developed a campaign toolkit with specific suggestions for:

  • employers 
  • schools
  • career practitioners
