Ticket incentive scheme to boost winter tourism
We've launched a new campaign encouraging people across Scotland to experience a Great Day Out across the country this autumn and winter.
The campaign has been launched in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland (HES), the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions (ASVA) and ScotRail to promote discounted tickets to around more than 50 participating properties.
We’re inviting visitor attractions and outdoor operators from across Scotland to provide an offer and get involved in this exciting new campaign.
A total of 27 Historic Scotland properties, including Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle, are offering children’s tickets for £1* until the end of March. In addition, around 30 Association of Scottish Visitor Attraction members are offering a range of reduced rate tickets and offers.
This new online and digital marketing campaign will encourage people to take advantage of the discounted rates and experience a day out at one of the many fantastic attractions and experiences on offer across the country.
Insights from our most recent consumer sentiment survey report identified that though intention to holiday remains strong this autumn, industry discounts or special offers may play a key role for visitors to Scotland in the coming months
A dedicated Great Days Out landing page on our website will encourage visitors to browse the offers, as well as showcase the vast range of paid and free visitor attractions, adrenaline-filled outdoor adventures and food and drink experiences on offer throughout the country during the winter.
