Calling all film fans!

This week, we're pleased to announce the reopening of the Discovery Centre Cinema in Rothesay, which will reopen to the public this Friday 3 June in time for the holiday weekend.

Contractors have finished work installing the air conditioning system to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and to keep customers and staff safe. All other required checks have now been completed and the staff are looking forward to welcoming people back to the cinema.

We're looking forwarded to seeing the local community back to enjoy an action-packed summer of blockbuster films. Throughout June, the cinema plans to screen the latest releases including Dr Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, Top Gun: Maverick, Downton Abbey: A New Era and Jurassic World: Dominion.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Rothesay iCentre, also part of the Isle of Bute Discovery Centre. Admission prices have been frozen at pre-pandemic levels so visitors can enjoy 2022 films at 2019 prices: £6.50 for an adult, £5.00 for concession or students and £4.50 for a child.

It is with great pleasure we look forward to welcoming back customers to the cinema, to enjoy the latest film releases once again.

We’d like to thank everyone for their patience, we appreciate it has been a frustrating time for people while the cinema has been closed. The safety of our customers, staff and wider community is always our primary concern.

We hope the community and visitors enjoy the fantastic line up of summer releases.
